Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Army Security Assistance Training Specialist at our client office in Arlington, VA. The individual filling this position will be a curriculum development/instructor in the field of Army security assistance. He/she will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and administering multiple courses for the Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE). Responsibilities

Principal tasks will include, but are not limited to the following:

    Research, develop, maintain and update training courses that outline the Army's Security Assistance processes and procedures.
  • Update curricula for existing and newly developed courses and create curricula which supports the multi-faceted functions that are part of the Army Security Assistance program - sales of equipment/hardware, software, training, engineering/construction support and medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure that the curriculum being taught is as up to date as possible and includes the latest policy changes and additions to Security Assistance programs.
  • Meet with Army organizations within the ASAE to: 1) determine their role and ensure that role is well represented within the training curriculum; and 2) ensure that the training meets the needs and requirements of that organization.
  • Teach any of the multiple Army security assistance courses both online and in the classroom.
  • Adapt instruction based on the availability of training space. Training classes should be sized based on a minimum of 10 students but a maximum of 25 students.
  • Provide all training materials for each course.
  • Develop a schedule for training throughout the year and assist HQDA proponent with coordinating and advertising the training sessions.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, international Relations, or a related degree. This requirement may be waived if the applicant has at least fifteen (15) years of applied security assistance experience.
  • Ten years (10) years of security assistance experience, of which five years must be in an instructional position.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with a diverse range of Army security assistance stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

A SECRET clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience and proficiency in organizing and presenting training material via Blackboard instructional tools.
