    Job DescriptionOur Image Guided Radiation Therapy office is looking for a Per DiemRadiation Therapist to join their team The Radiation Therapist provides radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist according to established practices and standards

    Responsibilities:
    Assures compliance to Radiation Oncology's radiation protection program.
    Maintain a high degree of accuracy and an awareness of safety issues.

    Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist(s).Display professional conduct essential to the well-being of the radiation oncology patient.

    Demonstrate effective written communication skills; Maintain accurate and detailed electronic treatment chart documentation.

    Observe the clinical progress of the radiation oncology patient, use clinical decision-making skills to recognize and report any signs of complications.

    Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols.
    Perform machine safety checks, know safe limits of equipment operations, and report abnormalities or inconsistencies.

    RequirementsMust have A.A.S./B.S. Radiologic Technology
    • Radiotherapy, ARRT Certified, current NYS licensure.

    The Radiation Therapist must be able to function at a high standard of direct patient care as well as maintaining equipment in Radiation Therapy.
