Job summary
Provides maximum protection for safety and security of university personnel patients students visitors and Jefferson assets.Responds to calls for service including priority incidents problems emergencies Notifies supervisor of conditions May diffuse emergency situations with conflict resolution skills Investigates documents reports on accidents incidents suspicious activities Maintains daily patrol log during tours Submits completed log to supervisor upon completion of tour Provides assistance employees patients patient family visitors as incidents occur Including security escorts upon request Assists campus parking issues Patrols parking lots equipment Supports safety teams assisting Trauma Team with helicopter landings fire-related emergencies Enforces No Smoking environments inside outside campus Performs other related duties assigned including loss prevention assistance training new security staff
- High School Diploma equivalent required
- Prior security police military experience preferred Experience in campus hospital security law enforcement Criminal Justice agencies strongly preferred
- Valid PA ACT 235 Certification required within 90 days hire Valid driver's License required work certain Jefferson locations Must understand responsibilities technology associated Security Response Center Ability function effectively Microsoft desktop applications Word E-mail Ability work all shifts rotate shifts needed This highly visible uniform position Officers present excellent appearance times equipped required instruments
