- As a client Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues.
- You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively pass down knowledge of these technologies to junior staff.
- You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and, where applicable, are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team.
- You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary.
- You work autonomously to resolve most support issues.
- You are able to execute small projects on your own, and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects.
- You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians.
- You understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
- You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
- 90% break fix work – working on posts and
- Unsellable projects
- 75% data halls working – won't have access to any tech like phones and smart watches, Only work computers
- 25% at desk working or on break
- FT technicians working closely
- With HM if they are OOO or can't go in office – acts as HR, not involved in showing them how to do the work
- Worked / build computers
- Comp TIA
- Linux cloud
- Any cloud practitioner
- CS education / systems
- No certifications or education in CS / computer info systems
- Hand on experience with computer tech/ parts | 1 yr of experience
- Education on how computers function
- Fast learner, retains knowledge
