    Job Summary


    • Greets patients either in person or over the telephone, protecting privacy.
    • Performs the initial evaluation by obtaining medical history, patient concerns, performs examination tests and prepares equipment for physician as needed.
    • Assists with surgical procedures, administers topical medications or diagnostic drugs prescribed by the physician.
    • Maintains knowledge of diagnostic coding, monitoring the completion of charge slips are accurately completed by the physician.
    Education and/or Experience


    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • COA, COT or COMT certification required within one year of employment.
    • Minimum of training in ophthalmic diagnostic and treatment procedures, including basic ophthalmic workup, diagnostic equipment listed below and ophthalmic surgery experience preferred.
    Work Schedule


    • Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5:00pm, Friday: 8:00am-12:00pm Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
