Description
Limestone University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing beginning January 2025 on our main campus in Gaffney, SC.
The full-time nursing faculty member is responsible for the development, teaching, and evaluation of courses to achieve SLOs; advising and guiding students; working with the director and other faculty to build appropriate nursing experiences for a successful Limestone University BSN program and maintenance of accreditation.
Nursing Faculty members must demonstrate professionalism, effective leadership and communication skills, dedication to the program mission, and collaborative behavior to meet faculty requirements as stated in the Faculty & Staff Handbook.
Rank is determined by years of experience and level of education.Qualifications
MSN degree, terminal degree (PhD, DNP) preferred; experience in mental health preferred; degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing and in education or administration; a current, active, unencumbered SC nursing license; minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care; two years clinical experience in the area of assigned clinical responsibilities; current American Heart Association BLS for health care providers CPR certification; excellent oral and written communication skills; and highly organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to consistently multi-task.
