    Position Specific Description

    Work with internal NextEra teams to manage the interconnection related engineering items.

    This position will be expected to understand interconnection process from application through Commercial Operation and become a Subject Matter Expert for their assigned ISO(s).


    Work with NextEra corporate office, engineering, construction and commissioning teams to coordinate submittals and interconnection deliverables with the Transmission Owners (TO) and Operators (ISO) and Power Purchasing Agreement Clients.

    This position will be responsible for reviewing the Purchase Power Agreements and Interconnection Agreements and provide critical engineering feedback to teams negotiating these agreements.

    The responsibilities will include tracking deliverables and milestones per the requirements of the project agreements and interfacing with the TO, ISO and PPA clients to ensure all items associated with design, performance, telemetry, back-feed, initial synchronization, and Commercial Operation Date are accomplished.

    • Provides engineering, design and environmental support
    • Tracks and reports on project negotiations and performance
    • Delivers company standards, policies, training, and support of organization
    • Prepares communications, presentations and provides support at meetings
    • Formulates researches, and develops improvement measures
    • Works with other departments within the organization to establish customer requirements and project costs
    • Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
    • Ability to work extended hours
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications


    • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
    • Bachelor's - Engineering
    • Experience:5+ years

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
    • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
    • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
    • Master's Degree
    • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
    • Six Sigma Master Black Belt
