    Respiratory Therapist in NICU - A Rewarding Career Opportunity

    We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Frisco. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

    About the Role:

    • Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients, including neonates, in the NICU setting.
    • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulse oximetry, to evaluate patient condition.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
    • Assist with placement of artificial airways, initiation of mechanical ventilation, and monitoring of patient response to therapy.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and outcomes.

    Requirements:

    • CRT or RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) upon hire.
    • Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Texas Medical Board.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
    • At least one year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in the NICU setting.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, plus benefits that include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
