    Description

    Job Title: Cloud Architect Consultant at Rose International

    Job Description

    Only individuals authorized to work in the relevant country will be considered for this position.

    Please be aware that start dates and durations for positions are estimates and may be adjusted based on client needs.

    Qualified Cloud Architect Consultant candidates in Columbia, SC, with a 50% onsite requirement will be given preference.

    Required Education/Certifications:


    - Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 8+ years of technical architecture experience and practical hands-on engineering

    Required Skills (Ranked in order of importance):


    - Expertise in Public Cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and Terraform


    - Proficiency in integrating Cloud/ DevOps platforms with third-party tools


    - Knowledge of AWS and Azure Governance and Best Practices, automation tools, and scripting languages like PowerShell/CLI

    Preferred Skills (Ranked in order of importance):


    - Specialization in Terraform infrastructure as code, experience with scaling technologies, Kubernetes, Docker, and security tools


    - Background in DevOps, Software Development, or Systems Engineering


    - Familiarity with configuration management, Linux and Windows system administration, and enterprise infrastructure solutions

    Project Scope:

    Serve as a technical leader for public cloud ecosystem planning, design, testing, and deployment of enhancements. Ensure Cloud architecture aligns with Division of Technology Operations' service delivery needs and state security standards.

    Daily Duties/Responsibilities:


    - Analyze infrastructure, challenges, and skill sets to make informed decisions on cloud strategy


    - Assist in implementing an IT governance model for Cloud architecture and services


    - Perform system administration, automation, and development tasks for Cloud Management Platform


    - Facilitate customer migrations to cloud infrastructure and maintain shared services


    - Lead internal staff training and development
