    Job Description

    Position Purpose: Responsible for planning/preparation/execution of assigned on farm trips and SD Regional Center production days. Tasked with primary responsibility of SD lab, management of lab tasks, coordination with Yackley Ranch team, and professional service team to ensure all client needs/services are executed striving to create an incredible client experience.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan/preparation/execution of assigned on farm trips to include coordination of embryos, service team plan, and other TOG services as requested by client.
    • Assist with scheduling of on farm trips in support of SD CSR.
    • Oversee SD Regional center lab prep, maintenance, production, and work chart for production days at the clinic.
    • Work with SD CSR, Yackley Ranch team, site manager, and service team to plan/prepare/execute production days at the center effectively and efficiently.
    • Maintains good relationships with Trans Ova clients, including following up and client visits in coordination with the SD site manager, SD CSR, and Plains Regional Sales team.
    • Manage SD Regional center supply inventory to ensure proper supplies are readily available for center production and SD on farm trip needs. Monthly reporting within TOG inventory management system.
    • Assists greater TOG PSE team in additional duties/trips as assigned by supervisor.
    • Actively seeks new business opportunities.
    • Assists veterinarians or flush technicians as needed.
    • Sets up filters, medias and supplies used during the collection of embryos.
    • Prepares, sets up, and organizes work area.
    • Prepares search, holding, wash and freezing medias.
    • Appropriately rinses, searches, washes, and accurately grades embryos according to IETS/TOG protocols.
    • Freezes embryos for storage in liquid nitrogen.
    • Oocyte searching and evaluation for IVF.
    • Maintains good laboratory techniques and follows lab protocol.
    • Monitors and records temperatures, lot numbers, and other appropriate information.
    • Appropriately labels straws, canes and goblets according to Trans Ova protocol and IETS protocol.
    • Completes documentation of pertinent information in daily log book.
    • Review and record results accurately.
    • Keeps accurate inventory and reorders supplies when needed.
    • Monitors and fills nitrogen storage tanks when needed in support of domestic shipping agent.
    • Communicates openly and honestly with all team members and supervisor.
    • Inputs data from flushes and transfers on farm and in clinic.
    • Records incoming and outgoing embryos in support of domestic shipping agent.
    • Maintains embryo inventories in support of domestic shipping agent.
    • Follows procedures according to Sarbanes Oxley standards and Trans Ova policies.
    • Maintains a professional image reflective of Trans Ova's industry position.
    Education Requirements:

    B.S. in Animal Science or Biology or a Veterinary Technician degree; GPA 3.0 or better.

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

    Ability to travel during seasonal spikes (April - June, November & December) up to five days a week. Ability to put in long days (up to 14 hours) during the seasonal spikes.

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Ability to sit for long periods of time.

    Other skills/experience:

    Must have valid driver's license.

    Must be able to operate a company vehicle.

    Good communication and client service skills.
