Job summary
The Meat Cutter is responsible for providing high level of customer service and practicing safe food handling procedures.This position performs various cuts for meat items including beef chicken pork and veal.
Stocking and merchandising responsibilities in both fresh and frozen cases required
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment to insure compliance with all safety sanitation requirements as set forth by the company mandated by state federal OSHA regulations
- Greets takes orders from customers Cuts trays packages all of the required meat seafood products required for the day Maintains proper safety practices care while using cutting accessories available in the meat department complies with use mesh gloves when using knife Participates in pre-inventory preparation back stock assuring tags match products
- Ability to perform repetitious activities Multi-task prioritize stay organized Excellent customer service skills positive attitude are essential interact with customers employees Ability lift carry products horizontally vertically between 25-90 lbs force up to 85 lbs distance up to 100 feet hours lifter pallet jack move pallets horizontally up table weighing up to 70 lbs requiring force greater than 35 lbs distance less than feet hour bilateral coupling force less than pounds hour steps per hour shift Capable standing continuously total hours shift Required walk miles hours Will need use step stool times per hour shift Good vision necessary sharp knives band saw grinder sausage maker box cutter wrapping machine tenderizer
