- Develops and implements strategies to attract physicians for open positions.
- Works in conjuction with Manager, AVP and Chiefs/Chairs on recruitment of new physicians.
- Proposes and implements a variety of activities to increase the impact of the recruiting efforts. Has a creative and diverse approach to recruiting challenges.
- Sources candidates via job postings, academic contacts and recruitment agencies.
- Stays abreast of latest recruiting trends and activities, for the benefit of all supported departments.
- Creates job postings that are accurate and promote the MSMC brand to attract top talent.
- Develops and maintains open communication of needs with academic and recruitment contacts.
- Works closely with physician leaders on their recruitment needs, understanding preferences for potential candidates.
- Develops an understanding of the various employed specialties in order to source appropriate candidates.
- Build and maintains solid relations with new physicians, providing support through the on-boarding process and the transition as a new employee.
- Is proactive in building candidate piplines.
- Works proactively with other departments toward strategic initiatives and goals.
- Maintains records in conformance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Requests appraisal on identified recruits in advance of job offer.
- Prepares reports and recommends solutions to minimize barriers and improve the impact of the recruiting group.
- Works with marketing department to develop ads, text, design and schedule within budget requirements.
- Works collaboratively with Manager, AVP, CFO and Chief/Chair and others to evaluate the qualifications of physicians, arrange interviews and make offers.
- Works with Practice Administrators on hand-off/onboarding of new physicians
- Keeps active recruitment report up to date on a weekly basis
- All other tasks as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred
- 3+ years experience, preferably within the Healthcare industry
