    The Program Manager will assist with pre and post award grants and contracts. They will coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Center for Airborne Infection & transmission Science (TUCAiTS). He/She will provide administrative support as needed. They will work closely with the Senior Section Administrator to support faculty, staff, and students. Duties include the coordination and management of the Centers calendars, monthly meetings and conferences, visitor's itinerary and other events as needed. They will process requisitions, reconciliations, record keeping, correspondence, timekeeping, travel arrangements & reimbursements, ordering of office supplies and other support duties as required. The position also supports the Center with data gathering, entry, and validation for various projects as well as internet/intranet updates and other means of effectively conveying and communicating data and information. The Program Manager will work with graduate students to ensure degree requirements are met, thesis defense is prepared and printed, and scheduled.

    • Ability to understand and accurately execute multi-faceted, extremely detailed business processes: attention to detail is extremely important in this position.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks at once.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially Word and Excel.
    • Ability to keep clear and accurate records: excellent organizational skills required.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written capacities.
    • Proficient using Tulane University software/websites (e.g., Kronos, TAMs, SciQuest).
    • Demonstrated experience working with budgets.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with both internal and external colleagues professionally and positively.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
    • Bachelor's Degree
      OR
    • High School Diploma and Ten (10) years of experience providing advanced level administrative and coordination support.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting
    • Experience in data management, recordkeeping, and budget and office management.
    • Knowledge of the academic and administrative structure and procedures of Tulane University.
