    Description
    job summary:
    Manufacturing Engineer located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to develop and implement continuous improvement within assigned area of production. To be considered - must have Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least two (2) years experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is ideal).

    Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • Must have at least two (2) years experience within a manufacturing environment (Automotive or Assembly experience is ideal)

  • Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Understanding of Six Sigma, SPC, 5 Why, Pareto and other tools

  • Ability to implement process improvements to operation Preferred:

  • Six Sigma certification

  • PLC experience

    responsibilities:
  • Manage process-related tooling in preparation for each production run

  • Issue and revise drawing and process sheets as a result of continuous improvement in the process.

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement in capability and/or scrap reduction

  • Verify conformance of components to customer specifications

  • Analyse weekly production results, identify deficiencies and implement the necessary improvements

  • Work with operators to reduce defects, increase throughput and improve the products' dimensional capability

  • Train operators on how to safely and effectively operate plant equipment and machinery #LI-DC1
