    Summary:
    This position is responsible for total quality assessment and education of the operation including special services.

    This position is responsible for coordinating health and safety management activities, including development and improvement of organizational processes for creating a safe and healthy work environment.


    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the Medical Director in research and development of protocols, procedures, and new equipment.
    • Oversee the Education and Training Department
    • Monitor the quality of all services provided, ensuring that standards are met or exceeded and promptly directs and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.
    • Establish quality assurance and improvement programs to monitor department functions and areas of clinical responsibility.
    • Assure contractual obligations for specialized outside agreements are upheld and remain current.
    • Coordinate public education campaigns designed to reduce serious injury and fatal accidents.
    • Develop methods and techniques of producing and providing internal continuing education programs specific to the needs of the advanced practitioner.
    • Develop methods and techniques of evaluating advanced clinical competencies.
    • Maintains all regulatory compliance related to safety, health, and risk management issues.
    • Implements and ensures the completion of all relevant safety and health training for all company employees.
    • Ensures the provision of employee health services regarding immunizations, testing and post exposure follow-up.
    • Maintains active involvement and leadership of local Safety Committees and the Incident Review Board.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
    • Organizes new Employee Orientation daily sign in, and certification.
    • Provide education and support to field crews and support staff regarding updates and changes with ambulance regulations or requirements from local, state, and government entities.
    • Oversees the personnel responsible for the daily functions of both internal and external education.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Three to five years' experience within the industry or a related field in healthcare

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Instructor Certifications (CPR or ACLS) and/or CME Instructor

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Must be able to sit for extended periods.
    • May be required to lean, stoop, kneel or crouch.
    • Must be able to work at computer for extended periods.
