    Demonstrates Integrity, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Excellence in all interactions and communications
    • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills for surgical procedures preparation
    • Prepares instruments, supplies, and equipment to uphold a safe and healing environment for patients
    • Integrates personal integrity and surgical ethics into all aspects of work
    • Works collaboratively with the registered nurse and perioperative team to execute the care plan
    • Engages positively with central sterilization staff
    • Ensures safety for patients and staff by adhering to proper attire and aseptic techniques
    • Actively participates in universal protocol and time out procedures
    • Initiates correct processes for sponge, needle, and instrument counts
    • Cares for specimens properly
    • Ensures appropriate care and maintenance of equipment and instruments
    • Assists the surgical team as needed during procedures
    • Cleans and readies instruments for sterilization
    • Supports team in maintaining surgical suite cleanliness
    • Helps prepare the room for the next patient
    • Demonstrates proficiency in Meditech and ORM for printing preference cards and schedules
    • Acts as a mentor for new operating room staff
    • Attends meetings, in-services, and educational opportunities for ongoing learning
    • Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • Possesses strong organizational and planning capabilities
    • Solid computer skills - Meditech, ORM
    • Ability to focus and prioritize in a busy setting
    • Efficient and quick work pace
    • Experience in a surgical services environment
    • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologists program

    Registration/Certification:

    • Certified Operating Room Technician
    • BLS Certification

    Physical/Environmental Requirements

    This role involves regular bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, and lifting objects over 10 lbs. Occasional climbing stairs, lifting over 50-100 lbs, and sitting. Consistent use of hearing, sight, and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Regular keyboard and telephone use. Continuous focus and problem-solving
