    About this role:

    As the Director of Sales and New Business Strategy, you will be responsible for leading sales success across both New York and Los Angeles and driving new business growth in these key markets. In addition to leading sales, you will collaborate with the New Business and Client teams to develop tailored solutions, drive client engagement, and ensure the successful execution of client projects. One of your primary responsibilities will be building and executing comprehensive sales strategies and guidelines for the agency, as well as providing training and guidance to the sales team to ensure alignment and success.

    This role is based in New York and reports into the Chief Client Officer and Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage sales in both New York and Los Angeles, providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives in collaboration with the Chief Client Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to drive new business growth and expand our client base.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building in both markets.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective clients in New York and Los Angeles, understanding their needs and challenges to position our agency as a preferred partner.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet client objectives and exceed expectations.
    • Manage the sales pipeline across both markets, tracking and prioritizing opportunities and driving timely follow-up and closure of deals.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments in both New York and Los Angeles to identify new opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
    • Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking functions in both markets to raise awareness, build relationships, and generate new business leads.
    • Provide regular reporting and analysis on sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts to senior leadership.
    • Develop comprehensive sales strategies and guidelines for the agency, outlining best practices, processes, and methodologies to drive sales effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Provide training and guidance to the sales team on the implementation and execution of sales strategies, ensuring alignment and consistency across the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a strong focus on new business development and revenue growth in Los Angeles markets.
    • Extensive experience in the agency environment, with a deep understanding of advertising, marketing, and creative services.
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive results in diverse markets.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and internal stakeholders in both New York and Los Angeles.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of effectively leading and motivating a sales team to achieve targets and deliver exceptional results in multiple locations.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales management tools, with the ability to leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive performance.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving business growth in both the New York and Los Angeles markets.

    Compensation: $130,000-150,000/ year based on relevant experience, plus commission
