    • Position Summary

      Insurance Verification Specialist reviews Registration/Admission on patient accounts for appropriate demographic and insurance information so that accounts are complete, accurate, and insurance billable. Maintains an audit process for type of error, payor, rep, and service. Corrects the errors prior to billing. Communicates with Billing, Admissions Representatives, and Management on audit findings. Maintains a log and spreadsheet by error to show the department weakness and improvement process. Forwards this information to the Admissions Director to ensure appropriate training and education for staff. Assists with the development and implementation of the department's Performance Improvement Plan.


      Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum Experience: Two years Hospital Admissions or Business hospital setting. Medical terminology, word processing, and business writing skills.
