    Job Overview
    As the Retail Operations Leader, you will ensure the health and safety of our associates and pets, enhance the pet parent experience, drive operational excellence, secure financial performance, and manage all human resource functions within the store. Your leadership will foster a strong team culture, implementing strategies and achieving goals that align with our mission and values while committing to pet parent satisfaction and business efficiency.

    Your Key Responsibilities Include:

    • People Leadership:
      • Make vital employment decisions such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating staff.
      • Encourage an open-door culture by actively listening to and engaging with associates.
      • Create and manage schedules for the entire store considering team input.
      • Enhance associate experience through training, mentorship, and recognition programs.
      • Delegate tasks effectively, promoting team ownership and accountability.
      • Communicate business objectives and adjust priorities to meet organizational goals.
      • Address associate concerns promptly to maintain a harmonious work environment.
      • Recognize and celebrate achievements that foster associate engagement.
    • Store Experience:
      • Lead initiatives to provide outstanding experiences for both associates and pet parents.
      • Ensure pets are well cared for and safe within our environment.
      • Assess and implement changes to enhance operational processes and services.
      • Collaborate with store leadership to execute events and community partnerships.
      • Maintain compliance with company policies to uphold store standards.
      • Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Business Management:
      • Execute corporate strategies to achieve profitability targets.
      • Analyze store performance metrics and share results with team members.
      • Identify growth opportunities and foster accountability among team members.
      • Manage store expenditures including labor and supplies.
      • Ensure inventory levels align with customer demands.

    Qualifications:

    • 4-6 years of experience in retail leadership or customer-centric roles.
    • Willingness to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Proficient in computer applications.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to maintain composure under pressure.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Physical Requirements:
    This role requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting. You will be working with animals in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
