    Description


    We're seeking a seasoned Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 12 years' experience in designing fire protection systems for both new constructions and renovations.

    This role, based in Long Beach, CA, offers a hybrid work schedule.

    Position Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

    Minimum of 12 years of experience in water-based fire protection systems.

    California Fire Protection Engineer license or eligibility to obtain within a year.

    Conduct consulting and design services for diverse projects, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering expertise.

    Evaluate existing fire protection systems and design new ones, including fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and mass notification systems.

    Proficient in project management and business development, including job proposals.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills.

    Positive contributor to office and department goals, culture, and morale.

    Thorough understanding of Title 24 CA Building Standards Code and NFPA Standards.


    Preferred Skills:
    Experience in healthcare, federal, and education project design is advantageous.

    FPE licensure in Washington or Oregon is a plus.

    Proficiency in designing gaseous fire suppression and fire alarm systems.

    Knowledge of code consulting, hazardous materials analysis, passive fire protection, smoke control, or occupant egress analysis.

    Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
