    Position Summary:
    This position is responsible for preparing and teaching courses in English Language Acquisition and/or English for Academic Purposes. This position may work with both immigrant /refugee populations as well as international students with proficiency levels from beginning/ basic to college level English.

    Essential Functions
    Prepare, teach, and assess outcomes in assigned courses in accordance with department and college standards
    Assess student learning and use data to improve teaching and learning
    Maintain current knowledge in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and effective pedagogy
    Perform related duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Minimum Qualifications
    Master's degree in TESOL or Adult Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
    Conditions of Employment
    Successfully complete a criminal history background check prior to employment.

    Ability to maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and achievements; and submit federally required end of quarter reports to program intake specialist and/or data entry person on time
    Commitment to participate in ongoing academic and professional work to strengthen the department, division, campus and our community
    Remain current on all mandatory college and state trainings and/or certifications
