    The Job At-A-Glance :
    Q2 is seeking a Procurement Specialist (Software) that will join a strong AP, Procurement & Payables team to help guide and facilitate software related agreements and provide key vendor oversight. This is a multifaceted role that will include responsibilities around pricing strategy/analysis, vendor relationship management, contract negotiation involvement, cost control, risk management, and more. Technology procurement experience is highly desired and a strong skill set around vendor negotiation along with analytical and problem solving abilities is key as well. Additionally, communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams is of strong importance.     A Typical Day :

    • Analyze market trends, vendor pricing models, and licensing structures to develop effective and cost-efficient software pricing strategies.
    • Conduct detailed pricing analyses and cost-benefit assessments to support procurement decisions.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with software vendors to understand product roadmaps, pricing, and negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
    • Streamline and optimize the technology procurement process, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Lead negotiations for software licensing agreements, maintenance contracts, and service-level agreements & ensure that contracts adhere to legal and compliance standards.
    • Monitor and control software-related expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Evaluate contractual and operational risks associated with software procurement and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity.
    • Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment on software procurement strategies & convey procurement decisions and requirements.

    • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
    • Extensive experience in technology procurement, with a focus on software pricing structures preferred.
    • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of legal and compliance aspects related to software contracts.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
