    Travel Surgical Technologist - CVOR - Operating Room (Days) - Mason City, Iowa

    Position Overview:

    Nurse's Etc. Staffing, a veteran and minority owned staffing company is seeking multiple skilled and dedicated Travel Surgical Technologist for exciting Travel assignments in beautiful Mason City, Iowa.

    Job Duties:

    • Assists physician in performing invasive procedures
    • Performs related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging techniques to demonstrate catheter location, position, and document findings
    • Scrubs in for handling guide wires, catheter, administering contrast injections (excluding CVOR Surgical Technologist), flushing catheters, and other scrub duties as assigned per specialty
    • Performs pre-procedural patient care activities
    • Monitors and records patient's condition and procedures' progress
    • Retrieves and reviews patient data
    • Prepares and maintains sterile field
    • Operates and maintains clinical equipment
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Requirements:
    • 2 or more years surgical technologist experience required
    • Iowa License - Required
    • BLS, ACLS (AHA)
    • Surgical Technologist license required
    • Graduate of a surgical technologist program is required; or graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience.
    • Certification as a surgical technologist preferred. LPN license required if graduate of LPN program.
    • Previous surgical technologist experience preferred.
    • Demonstrates self-confidence, initiative, and high level of concentration.
    • Demonstrates communication skills and promotes good working relationships with all members of the surgical team.
    • Recognizes personal learning needs and follows through to gain new competencies.
    • Ability to work flexible hours
    • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to meet departmental on call requirements
    Schedule:

    6:45 AM to 3:15 PM or 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
