    At Liberty Hospice, we prioritize meeting the unique needs of our patients and families coping with terminal illness. Liberty Hospice offers cutting-edge care and pain management services for hospice patients, delivered by our dedicated team with a focus on resilience, respect, and empathy.

    We are currently in search of an experienced:

    HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

    Part Time

    (Piedmont Area)

    Job Description:

    • Apply a solid understanding of nursing theories and concepts.
    • Responsible for providing and documenting care that aligns with reimbursement guidelines.
    • Coordinate the physical care of the patient in collaboration with the family, patient, physician, and Hospice team.
    • Engage in effective communication with patients/families at various levels.
    • Communicate efficiently with all agency personnel.
    • Participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled by the agency.

    Job Requirements:

    • Active RN licensure in the state of practice, successful completion of nursing education from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience and preferably one year of hospice nursing experience.
    • Familiarity with the structure, function, and setup of a home health and hospice care program, as well as the nurse's responsibilities as part of the patient care team.
    • Proficiency in the principles and implementation of nursing as per the nursing practice act, agency policies and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
    • Completion of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
    • Valid CPR certification.
    • Willingness to travel based on agency requirements, and be available for weekend/evening and holiday on-call duties.
