    In this role, you will spearhead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, strategic partner alliances, analyst relations, and market intelligence that align with Tyler's business objectives. The role will partner with leaders across marketing, sales, product development, and operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring synergy and cohesion across strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will collaborate with leaders across the organization on special projects, leveraging your strategic expertise to drive company-wide success

    As the Vice President of Market Strategy, your leadership will have a significant impact on the success of the marketing department and the company as a whole. By guiding your team to define and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies - including product, market, and competitive positioning, as well as strengthening alliances and partnerships, you will help Tyler Technologies maintain its competitive edge and achieve its long-term objectives. Your ability to collaborate with leaders across the organization will be essential in driving company-wide initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

    Responsibilities
    • Lead and oversee several high-functioning teams, accountable for results contributing to the achievement of company goals and objectives:
      • Product Marketing collaborates with division leaders to define go-to-market strategies, works with operational teams to launch products, conducts market and acquisition assessments, defines significant cross-sell scenarios, and provides competitive insights and positioning.
      • Strategic Intelligence focuses on deep market and competitive research, broad market analysis, industry trends, competitive insights, acquisition assessments, and revenue growth planning.
      • Strategic Alliances establishes and manages our largest corporate partnerships and maintains the structure and processes for divisional partnerships between Tyler and other companies.
      • Analyst Relations defines and executes the strategy for engaging with industry analysts to schedule briefings, influence ratings, and secure coverage, as well as leading market intelligence efforts with analysts to obtain information and develop actionable findings.
    • Set the vision, strategies, and objectives for the market strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Champion the Market Strategy team's offerings and advantages to other teams and leaders, driving awareness, adoption, and highlighting the value we bring to enhance organizational outcomes, revenue growth, efficiency, and mutual success.
    • Operate from a strategic vantage point across company divisions, synthesizing knowledge from team-level projects to uncover synergies, market gaps, and cross-selling possibilities, driving forward-thinking initiatives for comprehensive organizational success.
    • Grow the talent, knowledge, and skills of the team through recruiting and hiring, onboarding programs, advising team members on career development, and ongoing coaching.
    • Maintain and improve Tyler's go-to-market framework, including processes, deliverables, and responsibilities.
    • Collaborate with company leaders on special projects, providing strategic insights, analysis, and guidance to drive success.
    • Manage and allocate resources to support the execution of key initiatives, ensuring maximum value delivery to other teams while optimizing resource utilization.
    • Drive innovation, excellence, and knowledge sharing within the market strategy team, fostering the expansion of best practices, sample deliverables, templates, and process improvements.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience in strategic marketing, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
    • Excellent critical thinking and market research skills
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience guiding and developing high-performing teams.
    • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and trends.
    • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter ('get it done' attitude)
    • Exceptional communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to set and manage budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI.
    • Knowledge of the software industry, particularly in the public sector, is a plus.
