We are a busy location in the St Louis Public Library system serving several diverse neighborhoods Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with the public and is enthusiastic patient and committed to providing excellent customer service In this role you will assist customers with library cards and the check out and return of materials provide reference assistance for patrons via face to face telephone interactions including locating items in the catalog or on shelf as well as looking up information greet customers upon entering the Library facility assist in developing removing displays opening closing locations etc You will need to be friendly patient able to multitask while assisting customers organized detail oriented able to work with competing tasks priorities capabable of effectively providing information responding questions from customers staff flexible positive willing to work with staff colleagues successfully overcome challenges You will get competitive salary range starting at $15.82 per hour medical dental life insurance paid vacation holidays sick days pension plan partial tuition reimbursement approved courses professional development Hours for this position Monday from 11:35am 8:05pm Tuesday Thursday 9:35am 6:05pm alternating Fridays SaturdaysJob description
