JOB TITLE: Senior Financial Analyst

SUPERVISED BY: Controller

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required, in finance or accounting.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in public or non-profit accounting, budget preparation and financial analysis.
• High level proficiency in using Excel and other financial reporting software.
• Previously demonstrated financial analysis skills and acumen.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

• Performs professional accounting work in support of the fiscal and administrative operations of the organization.
• Assist in preparation of the monthly financial statements in compliance with official reporting guidelines and requirements.
• Prepare and update projections for various projects in support of program directors.
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
• Analyze and document monthly budget to actual revenue and expense variances by project.
• Review the organization's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
• Assist the CFO and Controller with year-end financial close and annual external audit.
• Assist in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
• Perform various internal audits as directed by the CFO and Controller to ensure transactions are being adhered to as per Finance Policies and Procedures.
• Utilize automated accounting system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
• Assist with completion of the annual operating and capital budget for the organization.

Salary: Salary range is Commensurate with experience, medical/dental insurance, life insurance, LTD disability insurance, retirement savings plan/401K, paid time off programs. Compensation is $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD per year.
