- Differentiate instruction to acmodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, incorporating research-based strategies and acmodations as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, self-advocacy, and independence.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and related service providers to support student progress and address individual needs.
- Monitor student performance through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress, behavior, and attendance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education practices and pedagogy.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Alabama Special Education (AL SPED) teaching license.
- Previous experience working with middle school students with disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of best practices in special education instruction, assessment, and behavior management.
- Strong munication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Caseload/Details:
The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for a middle school caseload prising approximately 18-24 students. The role involves designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with general education teachers and support staff, and providing tailored instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
Special Requirements:
