As the operator of a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), we are broadly engaged across all aspects of space— delivering innovative solutions that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil and commercial customers.

When you join our team, you'll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.

At Aerospace, we are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees to share in our common passion and aspiration – to carry out a mission much bigger than ourselves.

Building on The Aerospace Corporation's reputation as a trusted, impartial advisor with integrity and dedication to mission success, the Civil Systems Group (CSG) combines deep technical expertise with market-leading innovation to help our customers solve complex systems engineering and integration challenges.

CSG is organized by core customer-facing lines of business to manage and grow programs within NASA, NOAA, and the NNSA, while extending our capabilities to other civilian federal government agencies fully integrated within Aerospace rules, regulations, processes, values and behaviors.

Provide system engineering and integration (SE&I) capabilities to NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in support of the EVA & Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP).

Support includes the development of technical documentation, definition of requirements/verifications for future hardware/vehicles, utilization of Model-Based System Engineering Tool DOORS Next Generation (NG), and review of the certification/human rating compliance evidence.

Participate in status/planning meetings, workshops, control boards, and major milestone reviews to discuss requirements, traceability/metrics, and overall systems engineering processes.

Develop/maintain requirements documents throughout the product lifecycle, including but not limited to:

Interface Requirements Documents that define interfaces between the vehicle hardware and the EVAS contract suits, encompassing mechanical and control interfaces as well as environmental protection requirements and associated quiescence period power/consumable demands.

Completion of the metric transition across existing EHP program documentation and interfaces.
Completion of requirement updates to accommodate partial gravity loads, lead coordination with stakeholders to inform requirement content.
Lead retirement, and/or transition of NASA requirements documents.
Lead EHP involvement in defining the human rating process for program SRR/SDR.

Develop and coordinate documentation change packages, including stakeholder review and technical interchange meetings for technical issue resolution.
Develop/coordinate/maintain verification products (statements, Detailed Verification Objectives, etc.) within EHP and with External Programs.
Develop relevant processes and procedures as needed for interoperability and technical standards.
Utilize DOORS NG for EHP SE&I RIV Team products.
Support analyses, trades, and decision package development for resolution of EVA architectural options and EVA requirements.
Review vendor and project provided evidence of compliance to EHP requirements. Identify potential non-compliances or non-standard methodologies used in verification submittals.
