    About Our Client

    Our client is food manufacturer, that has been operating for over 60 years.Their Chicago site is going through an extensive growth phase, and they seek a Site Electrical Engineer to support their electrical infrastructure, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager.

    Job Description

  • Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems, components, and equipment to support food production processes. Ensure designs meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance strategies for electrical equipment, including preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting procedures, and repair protocols.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to optimize electrical systems for maximum efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical systems, equipment, and installations comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Project Management: Lead or participate in electrical engineering projects, from conception to completion. Coordinate with stakeholders, manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs for maintenance technicians and operators on electrical systems and safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of electrical designs, installations, and maintenance activities.

    The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and Programming HMIs
  • Hands-On wiring installations and familiarity with NEC code compliance.
  • Safely troubleshooting of electrical circuits.
  • Electrical Safety implementation and maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge in the food industry highly preferred.
  • Billingual (Spanish) is a plus. What's on Offer
