Position SummaryThis role is for an experienced CNC Programmer and Machinist responsible for programming, setting up, and running CNC machines, including vertical machining centers (VMCs), CNC lathes, and horizontal machines.

The machinist will create and optimize CNC programs, oversee setups, and lead day-to-day operations in the machine shop.

Experience machining castings is required, along with the ability to deliver precision work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC machines (VMCs, CNC lathes, horizontals) for production and custom jobsCreate, edit, and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and accuracyRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to produce parts to required tolerancesPerform setups, select tooling, and verify part quality using precision measuring instrumentsLead the machine shop team, oversee daily operations, and ensure safety and quality standards are maintainedKey SkillsCNC Programming and MachiningBlueprint Reading and Precision MeasurementMachine Setup and Tooling KnowledgeEducation & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certification preferredProven experience as a CNC programmer and machinist with strong xhmxlyz knowledge of VMCs, CNC lathes, and horizontalsExperience machining castings is requiredLeadership skills to oversee and guide a machine shop teamAbility to troubleshoot programs, setups, and machining issues independentlyMust provide and maintain own set of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)LocationPosition is based30 miles east of Waco, Texas ; candidates must be able to commute or relocate as needed.
