Full-time Monday-Friday, including 36 patient contact hours per week
Practice Description:
Candidates must be experienced and Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Experience managing medical cases and a great team player who is comfortable working with an interdisciplinary care team including nurses, physicians, and therapists.
Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been providing the community comprehensive rehabilitation for over 35 years and currently is a 9-bed department including an independent living apartment.
The unit has the potential for immediate growth up to 17 beds.Patients in the rehabilitation unit range in age from 18 years to geriatrics.
Common diagnoses seen on the unit include stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain Barre syndrome, Parkinson s disease, multiple sclerosis, major multiple traumas, cardiac & orthopedic conditions, and other conditions causing impairments in functional areas.
The schedule for this is full-time, Monday-Friday, which includes 36 patient contact hours per week.Requirements:
Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) - REQUIRED
Iowa license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
Previous experience practicing PM&R - REQUIRED
