    Are you a detail-oriented technician who loves interacting with clients and helping them obtain the best possible care for their pets? Do you enjoy ophthalmology and helping our companions maintain optimal vision?

    We are looking for an experienced technician to help support our very busy and fast-paced Ophthalmology service.

    Daily tasks will include verifying patient history during appointments, client communication, sedating and monitoring patients, acquiring various ophthalmological diagnostics, and proper care of delicate surgical instrumentation.

    Our Ophthalmologist relies heavily on the technicians and assistants to organize their day, keep their appointments on track, and communicate their recommendations to clients.

    You will be trained in proper ophthalmologic surgery protocol and care of delicate instruments and specialized surgical equipment.

    Our Ophthalmology Technicians enjoy a 4-day workweek


    We strive to help our technicians maintain a healthy work-life balance by offering set schedules so you can plan your life outside of work.

    Your schedule will consist of four, 10-hour shifts per week, with 3 days off.

    Our 30,000 sq. ft.

    facility is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment including a 16 slice CT, MRI, endoscopy room, multiple mechanical ventilators, two digital radiology suites, a flat bed and C-Arm fluoroscopy units, linear accelerator, an ophthalmologic operating microscope, nuclear scintigraphy, interventional radiology, and a newly constructed minimally invasive integrated surgical suite.


    We have separate gastrointestinal and respiratory intensive care isolation wards, a separate and dedicated cat ward as well as an I-131 treatment ward.

    We have specialists in Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Physical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.


    We actively promote cross training in all departments and we are seeking motivated individuals who are interested in learning how to run all of the hospital's equipment and perform all of our intricate procedures.


    Schedule:

    • Day shift
    • On call
    • 10-hour shift
    2+ years' experience as a veterinary technician is required.
