    Job Description

    1. Production Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules that align with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.
    2. Material Planning: Coordinate with procurement teams to forecast material requirements, place orders with suppliers, and manage inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
    3. Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and identify bottlenecks or constraints, collaborating with operations teams to optimize resource allocation and maximize throughput.
    4. Demand Forecasting: Analyze market trends, customer demand patterns, and sales forecasts to generate accurate demand forecasts, enabling proactive production planning and inventory management.
    5. Supplier Coordination: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
    6. Inventory Management: Implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent stockouts, while ensuring adequate stock availability to meet production requirements.
    7. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to monitor product quality throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
    8. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes, streamline workflows, and increase operational efficiency, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization.

      The Successful Applicant

    9. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    10. Minimum of [7 years] of experience in production planning, materials management, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
    11. Proficient in production planning methodologies, capacity planning techniques, and inventory management principles.
    12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
    13. Experience with production planning software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
    14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers.

      Target compensation for the Production Planning Supply Chain Manager is $140,000 - $160, % Bonus. My client also offers great benefits (full insurance package, 401k, tuition reimbursement etc.).
