Job Description
The
Associate Director Market Access and Payer Contract Operations -
Prescription Business Unit, U.S.
is responsible for assisting in the development, modeling, execution, and measurement of access and reimbursement strategies to accelerate product launches, maximize market adoption, and fully capitalize on life-cycle management – early development through and beyond loss of exclusivity (LoE).
Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Rx Leadership Team, Global business unit, and cross-functional key stakeholders and assist in the development,
modeling, execution, and measurement of access and reimbursement strategies to accelerate product launches, maximize market adoption, and fully capitalize on life-cycle management.
Review payer/PBM invoices to ensure formulary compliance, accurate price protection calculations, etc.
Responsible for working cross-functionally with Marketing, Market Access, Managed Markets, Human Resources, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Business Analytics, and Commercial Excellence to effectively design Galderma's payer value proposition to current and future customers (internal/external).
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and member of the Payer negotiation team responsible for customer negotiation of contract terms & conditions with national and regional payers.
Support new products by defining key value drivers and go-to-market access strategies across a multichannel approach for a complex ecosystem of healthcare providers; HCPs, governments, health systems, and health care consumers.
eet/exceed gross profit, gross margin, and net sales. Accountable for access and reimbursement contract forecasts, invoices, accruals, and validation through the budgeting and financial review process.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University is required.
Masters or other graduate degree is preferred.
Ten (10) or more years of commercial biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical experience with multi-functional experience (Access, Analytics, Finance, Business Development) required.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. payer system, reimbursement models, and copay programs is required.
Strong operational skills and financial acumen; demonstrated P&L proficiency, understanding of accounting and financial modeling
Extensive cross-functional experience required; proven track record of collaboration and coordination with key stake holders
Application of rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions and advantage creativity and ingenuity to develop solutions to complex problems.
Exceptional written/verbal communication skills; proven ability to document a business case and articulate rationale to a wide range of internal and external partners.
Comprehensive analytical/strategic thinking skills and decision-making; demonstrated ability to utilize data in fact based decision-making (data to insights, to action), providing solid business rationale, clear sense of structure, accountability, timelines and urgency.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), IQVIA, MMIT/Fingertip Formulary data, etc.
