Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe opportunity:
Provides process control electrical project management, design, and coordination to contribute to the departmental goals of improving the production process, maintain the manufacturing facilities and ensure compliance with Electrical Engineering standards and safety codes
To accomplish this purpose, the incumbent is responsible for generating feasibility studies, performing electrical engineering calculations, producing project load calculations, short circuit calculations, produce systems electrical drawings and designs.
The electrical engineer will also provide electrical engineering designs, coordinate construction work
Monitor contractor's safety, performance, and progress, to meet the plant's engineering goals in a timely manner
The project engineer is the leader of a team assigned to solve a problem and develop and implement the solution in the form of a project .
Accurately investigate and define the problem and scope
Develop and evaluate alternate solutions
Investigate and define consequences and benefits of alternate solutions
Estimate project costs and schedules
Design, and coordinate development of drawings and specifications
Evaluate, recommend, and procure spare parts required
Ensure adherence to all regulatory, safety, and company requirements
Lead a team to recommend and select equipment, consultants, and contractors to execute the assigned projects
Assist in preparation of annual capital and expense project budgets
Provide and ensure safe, accident-free projects
Ensure Operation and Maintenance training is conducted and successfully implemented
General project management, schedule, and cost control
Oversee the design of electrical and process control systems followed by construction coordination and startup and commissioning services
What you need to succeed:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project management, electrical engineering, and maintenance functions
Experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of medium and low voltage electrical systems, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens), and drive systems
Must be able to travel periodically. Must be capable, and a self-starter multi-discipline experience in electrical, process, and mechanical engineering will help.
Valid Passport and Driver's License
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
Advanced training in major project management, IEEE 70E, EZ Power, Control Logix, Siemens PLC, and Allen Bradley, Siemens Drives
Effective communication with good interpersonal relations
Desire and potential to move into future department head status
Able to work independently and effectively to achieve project results, and schedules while managing costs on four to five projects concurrently
