    Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma with training and/or work experience in word processing and computer skills; ability to meet and work with the public in an effective and tactful manner; possession of operational knowledge of business English, general vocabulary; ability to maintain clerical records.

    Terms of Employment: Classified Position, 190 Days, pay grade 1, with hourly rate depending upon relevant work experience. See Classified Salary Schedule at ,

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists school administrators and staff by performing general duties and meeting and dealing with the public in an appropriate and respectful manner to provide quality service and information

    Specific duty assignments for this position are made by the principal of the school depending upon the need. The essential duties and responsibilities listed here are typical and general in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
    1. Provides positive and courteous public relations by answering questions and providing information, professionally and tactfully dealing with inquiries and greeting visitors to the school
    2. Assists in distributing and directing materials and information including mail, shipments and materials
    3. Assists all school and district staff by answering questions and providing information in a cooperative and professional manner
    4. Provides assistance with general office and communication tasks, daily school activities
    5. Operates and assists staff with a variety of office machines and equipment
    6. Maintains professional appearance of front office lobby, workstation and mailroom; maintains staff mailboxes
    7. Receives and delivers messages to administration, staff and students using school protocols
    8. Maintains information, data, records, forms and other documents as assigned
    9. Assists substitute teachers with directions and school protocols
    10. Assists school visitors with guest sign-in procedures and confidentially alerts administration if there are concerns or issues
    11. Assists students by providing information and direction when they come to the front office
    12. Adheres to all School Board policies and maintains strict confidentiality of student and personnel information
    13. Complies with any reasonable oral or written request of the Principal, Assistant Principal(s), or their designee, or other appropriate administrator
    14. Demonstrates excellent attendance and punctuality
