Description
R Description Leidos is looking to add a Software Developer to their team in Chantilly, VA. This person will work in a dynamic environment supporting operations, data analysis, and data visualization tools.Work closely with the principle engineer, chief architect, and product users to solve complex data-driven problems throughout the entire software development lifecycle of both existing and new applications.
The ideal candidate has the capacity to work both front and back-end portions of a software environment. The candidate will implement software testing, operations, and maintenance (O&M), troubleshooting, system backup/restore, and software upgrades.The candidate is expected to analyze and solve complex use case problems and adhere to well-established software design and development principles.
Must be a self-starter and energized by the capability to learn and implement new skills across both software engineering and user domains.
This position requires an active TS/SCI, and a willingness to undergo a polygraph to be considered. Candidates who do not possess this clearance will not be considered.Mandatory * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) * 4+ years of relevant experience * Demonstrated experience in an object oriented language such as Java, C#/.NET * Experience working with relational databases * Experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments * Experience with code repositories, such as Subversion and Git * Experience with UI/UX design and best practices, able to translate requirements into a clean and functional interface * Experience developing software for Geospatial and/or Air domains * Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues * Able to research and adapt to unfamiliar technologies * Current/Active TS/SCI security clearance Additional Desired Skills * Familiar with Visual Studio IDE * Windows Presentation Framework / XAML (or other UI framework) * Systems ToolKit (STK) , or other Geospatial mod-sim technologies * Experience developing within an Agile environment, Scrum in particular * Experience using continuous build systems such as Jenkins, Git, etc.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81, $146,875.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
