    Look no further North Dallas Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital (ND VESH) is a brand-new, 13,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility located in Frisco, TX, and we're looking for talented individuals like you to join our growing team

    Compensation:$18-$24 hourly, based on experience+$2/hr overnight differential

    Anticipated Schedule:
    Full Time (3 x12 hour shifts)Days: TBD6p-6a

    Position Overview:

    An Emergency Veterinary Technician/ Assistant plays a crucial role in providing urgent medical care to animals in critical condition.

    Working in a fast-paced environment, they assist veterinarians with triage, administer treatments, monitor vital signs, perform diagnostic tests, and support emergency procedures.

    With expertise in patient care and a calm demeanor under pressure, they ensure animals receive prompt, compassionate treatment while offering reassurance to concerned pet owners.

    Essential Job Functions:Assist our doctors in a wide range of critical tasksTriage patients as they come into the ER with appropriate medical decision making and escalation to ER doctor as appropriate.
    Demonstrate compassion and care in all interactionsCommunicate medical updates, financial, and treatment plans to owners.

    Perform standard technician duties, such as:
    IV catheter placementBlood drawsIV fluid managementDiagnostics and supportive therapiesSurgical scrub and anesthesia monitoringPost-operative patient monitoringAccurate documentation and client communicationClinical Skills &

    Experience We Value:
    Safe patient restraintPhlebotomy and catheter placementRadiology safety and technique knowledgeProficiency in anesthesia monitoringFluid management expertiseMedication administration (Sub-q, IV, IM)Qualifications:Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistant dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

    At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in an Emergency/ Specialty Hospital preferredAt least 3 years experience as a Veterinary Technician/AssistantAbility to multitask and anticipate the department's needs.

    Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus
