    Safety Manager .

    You must have a passion for the continuous improvement of a safety culture focused on care, compassion, and compliance, as well as a desire to connect with team members at all levels.

    As a construction/service organization, we recognize that our industry is inherently hazardous and keeping our employees and others safe is our top core value and priority.

    This position reports directly to the company President and has no supervisory duties.

    You will provide leadership in elevating the safety culture while helping to minimize the risk of accidents and unsafe work conditions.

    Youll promote occupational health and safety awareness by providing training and support for the teams and ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal safety related regulations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Develop strong relationships with all Employees, President, and Corporate Regional Safety Director.
    Frequent travel to jobs sites as well as travel between both offices is required.
    Review Site Specific Safety, LOTO, and Fall Protection Plans and Accident Hazard Analysis (AHAs) written by PMs. Revise if necessary. Audit job sites for compliance.
    Participate in pre-job safety meetings with subcontractors, review Subcontractor safety programs and review/approve applicable documents.
    Conduct regular safety audits on all job sites/facilities to identify potential hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures.
    Ensure compliance with Comfort Systems USA Corporate safety policies and guidelines.
    Oversee the completion of all accident/incident investigations, analyze, and identify root cause. Make recommendations to resolve deficiencies and to address unsafe conditions.

    Maintain knowledge of current State and Federal safety regulations and advise management of changes that may impact training needs and procedure/policy updates.

    Manage open injury claims, collaborate with Workers Comp.

    Claims manager/third-party administer and injured workers to facilitate early return to full duty work or provide light duty transitional work.

    Conduct new hire safety orientation. Develop and conduct additional training programs for all employees in safe work practices to meet Federal and State regulations.
    Work with customers (GCs and owners) to resolve safety issues/conditions as they arise.
    Collaborate with Managers to monitor compliance and identify safe issues/concerns. Provide regular feedback on accidents, root causes, cost impacts and areas of risk.
    Represent the organization in community, industry safety groups and programs.

    Participate as an active member of each Companys Safety Committee and support safety meetings at our various locations, offices as well as jobsites.


    Education, Experience, Certifications and Knowledge:
    Bachelors degree preferred with 5 years of direct safety experience within the construction industry.
    Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) - Preferred
    OSHA 500 Training Certification (OSHA 10 and 30 Trainer) - Preferred
    Knowledge of OSHA, DOSH, ANSI, NFPA, EPA and Workers Compensation regulations.
    Strong leadership, organizational and motivational skills.
    Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
    Valid Washington State Drivers License required.

    Salaried position, starting pay range is $90,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and skill level
