- Unit 3W Stepdown (Cost Center 3428)
- 28 private beds
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- If MedSurg acuity 1:6
- Current EMR: Cerner - Transitioning to Epic in June 2021
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor positions available
- Nurse Aides: 2 per shift during the day and mid-shift
- No CNA at night after 11 p.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Tele Monitors available
- Monitor tech present, but RNs must be able to read & interpret strips
- Drips: Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, & Heparin - Insulin is only set-rate
- Vents available: Bipap, Cpap, High Flow
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house 24/7
- No IV Team, but ICU charge nurses or Director can assist with difficult IV sticks
- Respiratory Therapists available 24/7
- Pharmacy services available 24/7
- Shifts: RNs - 12-hour shifts; CNAs - 8-hour shifts
- Floating may be required to ICU
- Floor-specific orientation provided
- Common diagnoses: Heavy cardiac, dysrhythmias, CVAs
- Cancellation: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
- Corporation - PowerChart
- BSN not required
- License required, willing to wait
- 12-hour nights, weekends as scheduled
