    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Leading domain, intake, initials, and 3 year eligibility meetings.
    • Serve in the role of LEA representative when requested.
    • Review IEP's and files of students new to the District. Collaborate with administrators and make recommendations for placement.
    • Conducts comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments and psycho-educational evaluations of students referred for potential special education services.
    • Creates norm and criterion referenced cohorts for data comparison.
    • Actively participate on the various building and district-level Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) Teams, meetings, and data reviews. Psychologists will facilitate weekly Tier 3 meetings (student problem-solving meetings), aligned with district processes, at the building levels.
    • Collaborate and communicate with administrators, staff members, and parents about student evaluations, including parent requests and MTSS services.
    • Provide professional development to building and district staff members.
    • Stay up to date with best practices through professional development.
    • Participate in Psychologist PLC Meetings.
    • Use and apply knowledge of instruction, learning, and intervention within the classroom environment as appropriate.
    • Work with the SEL Team to assist and provide insight into the development, data collection, and data analysis of functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans.
    • Work with the MTSS and Special Education Teams to provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students.
    • Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social emotional learning, behavior interventions, and problem solving in the classroom.

    Required Skills and Knowledge:

    • Ability to aggregate and disaggregate data for various audiences.
    • Ability to gather and analyze data to support eligible decision making.
    • Knowledge about English Language Learners' academic development.
    • Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) including academic, social emotional, and behavioral components.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, including written and verbal.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to engage in data-driven, child-centered decision making.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the district.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in either written, diagram or oral form.
    • Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
    • Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    • May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in School Psychology
    • Illinois Professional Education License -School Psychologist Endorsement
    • Bilingual endorsement Preferred
