    Director of Product - Digital Commerce

    (Plano Texas- Full-Time In-Office)

    Purpose / Job Summary

    As the Digital Commerce Director of Product, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle of our digital commerce platform. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams including Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Sales to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver a world-class digital commerce experience for our customers. You will be responsible for the management of the roadmap that covers the initiatives for across Upbound and to establish and drive product management best practices throughout the organization.

    Key Accountabilities Deliverables (Essential Functions of Job)
    • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our digital commerce platform, aligned with business objectives and market trends.
    • Omnichannel integration: Focus on integrating the digital commerce platform with other sales channels and touchpoints to create a seamless omnichannel shopping experience for customers. This involves integrating the digital commerce platform with physical retail stores, mobile apps, social media platforms, marketplaces, and other online channels to provide customers with multiple options for discovering, researching, and renting/leasing (purchasing) products.
    • Personalization: Leverage customer data and advanced personalization techniques to deliver targeted and relevant experiences to individual customers.
    • Manage the work and efforts of other Product Managers that are part of digital commerce.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on digital commerce trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide thought leadership within the organization.
    • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and product enhancements.
    • Responsible for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product organization, encouraging experimentation and creative thinking to drive product enhancements and new features.
    • Work closely with engineering and design teams to translate product requirements into actionable development plans, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
    • Collaborate with Digital experience, Marketing, Sales, and Store Operations teams to develop go-to market strategies, product messaging, and sales enablement materials to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance and success and use data-driven insights to continuously optimize and improve the product.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and customer centric mindset to inspire and motivate the product team to achieve excellence.
    • Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders, including executive leadership, Engineering teams, Marketing teams, and Sales teams. Provide regular updates on product initiatives, milestones, and performance metrics.
    • Lead, mentor, and empower a team of product managers, providing guidance and support to drive their professional growth and enhance team performance.
    Additional/Shared Responsibilities
    • Maintain the product vision, strategic objectives, target market segments, and differentiation strategies.
    • Regular reports and analysis of product performance metrics (e.g., user engagement, conversion rates, customer feedback) to assess product success and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop plans for professional development, training, and mentorship programs to nurture talent within the product team and enhance overall productivity and innovation.
    Team Management Organization Structure
    • Product managers report to this individual.
    • This role reports to the VP of Digital Commerce and is a part of the Digital organization.
    Qualifications Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven track record of 8-10 years of product management experience in digital commerce, e-commerce, or related industries, B2C commerce experience preferred.
    • Experience with one or more commercial ecommerce platforms (SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud etc.)
    • Experience and deep understanding of ecommerce data analytics, A/B testing, and other tools used for measuring and optimizing product performance.
    • Deep understanding of digital commerce platforms, technologies, and industry trends, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Experience with web development frameworks, content management systems, and customer journey analytics.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making and prioritize initiatives.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence and align cross-functional teams towards common goals.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
    • Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and delivery results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Experience in leading product management teams with at least 3 team members.
    • Experience in developing UX strategies across multiple product portfolios.
