    Description


    Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CYBER SECURITY DIVISION, SPECTRUM WARFARE DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

    Responsibilities You will manage and lead junior and mid-level employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

    You will work with the Spectrum Warfare Department and the other Information Technology and Cybersecurity Branches to ensure alignment of activities to customer and program needs and visions.

    You will be responsible for interfacing with product customers to assess workforce personnel needs; performing workforce planning, recruiting and hiring; establishing placement plans; identifying assignments that support placement needs.

    You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operation, maintenance, and security of a computer system.


    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1.

    3. Oral Communication
    • Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
    4. Problem Solving
    • Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
    In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

    Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Installing and configuring Splunk on Windows and Linux; 2) Configuring Fibre Channel storage devices; 3) Managing a Hyper-V infrastructure consisting of multiple servers of various systems; 4) Working with vendors to isolate and resolve hardware problems and replace failed hardware; 5) Helping create and design infrastructure cooling and power requirements for new spaces.
