    Description
    The Line Cook is responsible for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner to order. Additional duties include assisting with prep work, handles routine daily cleaning, trains new line staff and assists with scheduling.

    Contributes to the casino's high standards of superior guest service and performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.

    Starting wage is $22.59/hr, increasing to the standard $24.92/hr at successful completion of a 90-day orientation period.

    Education:
    High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    Culinary training


    Experience & Requirements:
    Two years experience in line cooking for a dinner house
    Must have experience in grilling, broiling, sautéing, and steaming
    Experience in training of staff (preferred)
    Must be fast and capable of working on as many as 30 orders at a time with the ability to coordinate cooking times with co-workers
    Must have valid Washington State food handler's card


    Physical Requirements:
    Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
    The ability to lift up to 40 pounds
    Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
    Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment


    Additional Requirements:
    Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays


    Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIB license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
