Job DescriptionGeneral description:

The Area Program Director will work in a specified area under the direction of the Program Director and is responsible for implementing services which provide the optimal environment for developmental of each person's vocational development that leads to competitive employment.

The Area Program Director also has the responsibility of the implementation of the employment plan as related to Cape Fear Vocational Services.

The main role of the Area Program Director is to ensure that the participants receive the authorized services necessary, and the organization meets or exceeds the standards set by the Vocational Rehabilitation Program (VR) at all times.

Education Requirements:
At least two years of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities and/or mental health issues. Post baccalaureate; holds at least a bachelor's degree in a professional category (Human Services field) e.g. Psychology, Education, Sociology, Speech, Counseling, etc. or four years post baccalaureate and a four-year degree.

Other Requirements:
Must have a valid NC driver's license.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Clear healthcare registry and background check.
