A new opportunity has opened for an Accounting Supervisor on our Vistar GL team.

The Accounting Supervisor, Payroll with the Performance Business Solutions division of PFG will be responsible for analyzing and verifying complex financial information, preparing financial reporting, reconciling general ledger accounts, and performing month-end close activities for distribution centers and other locations as assigned in a Shared Services environment supporting multiple operating companies and corporate locations across the US.

Identify and recommend effective solutions towards process improvements while providing leadership and direction to a team of two or more accountants.

External contacts may include vendors, operating companies, banks, and auditors. Supervises associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Lead small teams on special projects assigned by management. Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliations and balance sheet trend analysis. Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting deadlines. Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.

Bonus Structure: 15%

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 2-5 years accounting experience.

General Accounting or other relevant experience in a high-volume transaction environment; Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of Microsoft Access.

Master's in Business Administration (MBA), public company experience, food service/distribution experience. Experience with supervision and/or project leadership. AS400 and Blackline experience or exposure to other major ERP applications.
