    The position is for Director, Royalty Allocation Management within our Platform Operations function. On a global basis, we collect patent royalties from OEMs in various industries and distribute them to patent rights owners. This requires highly accurate processes working smoothly within defined time limits. The role requires an understanding of how to translate legal agreements into efficient operations processes, managing those processes within a given time and quality framework, having excellent attention to detail as well as strong communication skills.

    We are a fast-growing company with a dedicated and highly motivated team of professionals across the world. This is an excellent role for a multi-talented individual who would like to take on a higher responsibility position, managing an important part of the Platform Operations function.

    The role will work closely with the royalty services and business tools development teams within the Platform Operations function, as well as with Business Units and Market Units. There will also be interaction with customers around the world.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    OPERATIONAL

    Manage the royalty allocation process

    Analyze data for completeness, sense, and accuracy

    Identify errors, lead investigations, implement adjustments and corrective actions

    Manage customer queries

    Oversee patent evaluation management staff

    Develop KPIs, analyze performance, follow-up and actions

    STRATEGIC:

    Identify and drive improvements of tools & process functionality

    Drive cross-platform harmonization

    Develop or procure royalty allocation simulator tools

    Provide input to new platform development efforts

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Analytical mind with attention to detail as well as a big picture view
    • Motivated, disciplined, with high personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
    • Interest in operations effectivization and process automation
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • People management and organizational skills
    • Proficiency with Excel and cloud-based business tools, including database systems
    • Able to effectively manage change, delays and unexpected events, with focus on problem resolution
    • Able to manage high volumes of data, meet deadlines, and multi-task
    • Ability to devise and apply a high level of internal controls

    Required Experience and Educational Background:

    • Science, Engineering or Financial Mathematics degree
    • Experience in positions of operational responsibility
    • Experience of patents preferred
