    Description
    Johnnycake Corners Elementary has an (1) opening for a Long-term substitute Intervention Aide. This position is no more than 29 hours per week. This position involves supporting students in a one on one or small group setting. This can take place in the classroom, at lunch, at recess, during specials, or even in the intervention room. Aides sometimes help students stay on task, de-escalate a situation if a student is frustrated, or collect data.

    Essential functions:
    to provide vital academic and behavioral supports for students with diverse and stratified needs.

    In partnership with classroom teachers and intervention specialists, intervention aides will help facilitate maximum learning, promote an inclusive culture of excellence, and alleviate barriers to learning.


    Qualifications for the position include:
    High school diploma or equivalent, successful background check and valid aide permit (where applicable).

    Internal candidates (currently employed by the Olentangy Local School District) must submit an internal online application in Applicant Tracking.

    External candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking and complete an online Support Candidate Assessment. Applicants may revisit their online application at any time to make necessary additions or changes.

    The online Support Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled "Do Not Reply" with the subject "Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application".

    Keep in mind that the assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process.

    Once the assessment is started, it must be completed.
