    JOB TITLE: Marketing Associate

    REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Communications

    STATUS: Full-time, non-exempt

    SALARY RANGE: $23-$25/hour

    JOB POSTED: May 2024

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Marketing Associate is responsible for creating engaging social media content and assisting in planning, developing, and actively promoting all the museum's exhibitions, programs, and events. This role is pivotal in enhancing the museum's presence, engagement, and visibility across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be adept at website management, social media strategy, design operations, copy editing, event photography coordination, advertising campaign execution, and e-newsletter production.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Website Management

    o Assist with oversight of the museum's website content to ensure it is current, engaging, and reflective of the Museum's mission and upcoming events.

    Social Media Management

    o Develop and implement social media strategy to increase engagement, followers, and museum visibility across platforms (Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and LinkedIn)

    o Create and schedule regular posts, stories, and updates highlighting museum events, exhibitions, and news.

    o Engage with the museum's online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.

    Design Operations Management

    o Assist with the production of design marketing materials, including brochures, banners, posters, and digital assets.

    o Coordinate with graphic designer to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of marketing materials.

    o Manage inventory of marketing collateral and oversee the distribution of materials,

    Copy Editing

    o Proofread and edit all external communications to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the museum's voice and branding.

    Event Photography Coordination

    o Manage the scheduling, contracts, and specific shot lists for photographers to capture key moments and details.

    o Assist with the organization and archiving of photo assets for easy access and use in marketing materials.

    Advertising Campaign Execution

    o Collaborate with Director of Marketing and Communications to create advertising campaigns across various media, including digital, print, and outdoor, to promote museum exhibitions and events.

    o Assist with campaign performance evaluation, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize reach and impact.

    E-Newsletter Production

    o Help with the production of the biweekly e-newsletter, from content creation to distribution.

    o Segment email lists to target specific audiences with tailored content, increasing relevance and engagement.

    o Analyze email campaign metrics to improve open rates, click-through rates, and overall effectiveness.

    Other Duties as Assigned

    o Undertake additional tasks as required to support the marketing and communications objectives of the museum

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    · 4-year degree preferred

    · 1+ years of experience in marketing or customer-centric industry

    · Strong written and verbal communication skills

    · Superior organizational and time management skills

    · Knowledge of relevant marketing tools and applications is a plus

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    · Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

    · Proficient in Instagram, Facebook, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
